Mr. Frank Oppong-Yeboah is the Board Chairman of StarLife. Prior to his appointment as Board Chairman, he was the Executive Vice Chairman of the Company.
He is a graduate of the University of Ghana, a Chartered Insurer and Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (U.K.) He was the proud recipient of the prestigious Rutter Medal in 1999 for the best qualifying fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK). He has over twenty six (26) years’ experience in the insurance industry.
He has attended several insurance management seminars and courses, both locally and abroad including the 8th Advance course in Non- Life Insurance at SWISS Insurance Training Centre, Zurich, Switzerland and Willis Faber Marine Overseas Training Workshop, London.
He worked as a Senior Manager in the Motor Department of the State Insurance Company Ltd., having previously worked in that company’s Marine Department for several years.
Prior to joining StarLife in 2006, he worked at Star Assurance Co. Ltd from 2000 to 2006 as the Chief Manager (Technical Operations) and later became the General Manager in 2006. He is a visiting lecturer at the West African Insurance Institute in the Gambia.
He is also the Board Chairman of uniCredit Ghana Limited, a savings and loans company licensed by the Bank of Ghana.

Mrs. Boatemaa Kakra Duffuor-Nyarko is the Chief Executive Officer of StarLife Assurance Company Limited. She holds a BSc. (Hons) first class degree in Economics from University of Warwick (UK), a Postgraduate Diploma in Actuarial Science with distinction as well as an MSc. in Actuarial Management from the prestigious Cass Business School, City University (London, UK). She is a qualified Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the United Kingdom.
Kakra is an Alumnus of the Ghana International School where she obtained both her ordinary and advanced level certificates, majoring in mathematics, chemistry and biology.
Until her appointment as Chief Executive Officer, she was the Executive Director and Chief Actuary of the Company. She had also worked several years with QED Actuaries and Consultants (Aon Hewitt) in South Africa, where she had the opportunity to provide actuarial consulting services for not only South African clients but also those from Zambia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Mauritius and Ghana.
She has had wide exposure in her field including specialization in performing Valuations (Gross Premium and Net Premium), Premium Rating, Embedded Values, Appraisal Values, Analysis of Surplus and Projected Accounts. Therefore, she has the requisite experience in Actuarial Management.
Mrs. Duffuor-Nyarko has been working in the insurance industry for the over nine years and has worked in various departments such as marketing, customer service, underwriting, accounts and actuarial departments.
She has contributed immensely to new product design for diversified markets and customers. Boatemaa played a significant role in the design and development of the company’s recently launched 3 life solutions (Family Protection Plan, Child Lifeline Plus and CashBuilder Plus). StarLife’s group products (Employee Security Plan, Mortgage Protection Plan, Credit Life Schemes and Group Welfare Schemes) have also enjoyed competitive rating as a result of the high pedigree that the company’s Chief Actuary and Executive Director brings to the table.
She has attended several courses and business workshops internationally and locally.

Mr. Kofi Duffuor is the Chief Executive Officer of Star Assurance Co. Ltd, the second largest Insurance Company in Ghana. He had his insurance training in the United Kingdom and has been in the insurance industry for over twenty (20) years.
He is a highly motivated insurance Executive, who possesses immense insurance underwriting and claims skills with a proven track record of achievements in the field of insurance. He is very innovative and well oriented in insurance management, business development and marketing.
He has analytical, research and time management skills. He is adaptive and always ready to welcome new ideas and techniques for the performance of his duties.
He holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Entrepreneurial Management from the University of Ghana. He is a Chartered Insurer and Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII-UK). He is also a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of Ghana (FIIG).
He has attended several conferences and seminars at home and abroad in insurance management and financial management.
Prior to his appointment as Managing Director in 2001, he was the General Manager in charge of Finance and Administration. He is a board Member of the Ghana Insurers Association (GIA).
Mr. Kofi Duffuor is married to Dr (Mrs.) Ama Abrafi Duffuor and the marriage is blessed with four children.

Tutu Kwachie is an achievement-oriented Investment Banking Professional with hands-on experience in business support, corporate valuation, and financial statement analysis across various industries. Mr. Kwachie currently serves as the Head, Structured Finance of uniSecurities. Prior to this role, Mr. Kwachie worked as a Senior Investment Manager with GroFin Africa where he managed portfolio companies, proposed portfolio restructuring, capital increase, equity sales, leverage buyouts, and many more. Mr. Kwachie also worked on consulting basis for Glico Financial Services when he assisted the firm to design and implement its investments and corporate finance policies.
Mr. Kwachie also deepened his wealth of experience as a Regional Director with Madison Street Capital LLC, a Chicago based investment banking firm. Past to this position, he held the post of a Senior Associate (Team Leader) at the same firm, with a primary focus in the analytical services arm. Mr. Kwachie worked from the firm’s satellite office based in Accra, Ghana and acted as Country Manager for the firm’s transactions in Ghana. Preceding Madison Street Capital, Mr. Kwachie worked as the Head, Analytical Services of Houlihan Capital LLC, a Chicago based specialized investment banking firm. At Houlihan Capital, he performed various roles spanning from corporate valuation advisory, ESOP advisory, capital raise, auction rate securities, debt restructuring, merger and acquisition, LBOs advisory, to complex industry risk assessments. He also interacted with c-level and middle management on issues pertaining to the strategic direction of their companies with respect to profitability, cost savings, and corporate restructuring. Mr. Kwachie worked closely on fairness and solvency opinions, as well as serving on the firm’s Auction Rate Securities Advisory Team, where he was responsible for providing structured finance advisory to public companies for financial reporting purposes.
Mr. Kwachie ended his stint with traditional banking at Bank of Africa, Ghana, as a Unit Head in Corporate Banking. He provided financial services in credit structuring, debt financing, bank guarantees, trade finance, and investment advisory. Previously, he worked for Ghana International Airlines as a Cluster Revenue Analyst, obtaining considerable experience in revenue/yield management. Mr. Kwachie has also worked on extensive investment banking-related projects in the U.S, Canada, and United Kingdom.
Mr. Kwachie holds a BA (Honors) Degree in Economics with Statistics from the University of Ghana, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Science and E-Commerce from London School of Commerce. Mr. Kwachie is also an MBA graduate from Charles Sturt University in Australia, with specialization in Finance. Mr. Kwachie is currently a member of the International Research Association and a Licensed International Financial Analyst Charter holder. He is also a member of the International Association of Consultants, Valuators, and Analysts. Mr. Kwachie also brings to bare an extensive knowledge of various wall street training and ethics to his work in different projects.

Miss Rebecca Lomo is a Chartered Accountant with a proven ability and experience in accounting and auditing, having worked in several positions at SSNIT, Trust Logistics Ltd, Internal Revenue Service, Oduru Addiyah & Osei Chartered Accountants and KPMG. She has served and continues to serve on several Boards and Committees
She is the current Board Chair of NTHC Properties and a Board Member of NDK Financial Services Ltd. She is the Board Committee Chairperson of the Audit Committee Per Public Financial Management (Act 921) of the Ministry of Aviation, the District Assembly Common Fund and a member of the Allied Health and Professions Council
She is a Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Association of Certified Examiners and Institute Internal Audit.
Prior to her appointment as Director of StarLife, she was a Board Member and Chairperson of the Audit Committee of Republic Bank Ghana Limited. She also served as a Board member and Chairperson of Technical Committee of Internal Audit Agency. She was a Board Member and Chairperson of the Finance Committee of Trust Logistics Ltd.
Ms. Rebecca Atswei Lomo was the General Manager, Finance and Administration of Trust Logistics Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of SSNIT. She was instrumental in reviving the company from dormancy to one capable of depending on its own internal resources. She was the Chief Internal Auditor of Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) until 2016.
Ms. Lomo holds a BSc. and an EMBA from the University of Ghana. She is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana), Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE), Orlando, USA, Institute of Internal Auditors (Florida, USA), Institute of Internal Auditors (Ghana), Institute of Directors (Ghana) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation (Ghana).
Eric Osiakwan is an investor and developer of new businesses with 20 years’ experience spanning across 32 countries in Africa gained through a number of successful tech start-ups. Eric is a leading pioneer of internet in Africa having worked in multiple countries building internet service providers (“ISP”) and ICT businesses. Eric founded and ran the Africa ISP Association for eight years, during which the ISP industry grew by almost 120%.
Eric was part of a public-private partnership in Kenya that built the TEAMS submarine fiber cable, the first to connect East Africa to the rest of the world. He subsequently contributed to the building of terrestrial fiber networks in West Africa. He was an ICT Consultant for the WorldBank, Soros Foundations, UNDP, USAID, USDoJ, USDoS as well as African governments and private firms.
He authored “The KINGS of Africa’s Digital Economy”, co-authored the “Open Access Model”, adopted globally by the telecommunications industry, “Negotiating the Net” – the politics of Internet Diffusion in Africa and “The Internet in Ghana” with the Mosaic Group. He was invited to contribute ideas to Prime Minister Tony Blair’s Commission for Africa.
He currently serves on the board of Nyaho Medical Centre, Star Assurance and Ghana Cyber City. He is an MIT, Stanford and Harvard fellow.
Samuel has over 20 years of experience in business management, enterprise risk, market and liquidity risk, operational risk, portfolio management, risk analytics, cyber risk and business continuity management.
Samuel was Chief Risk Officer at GCB Bank PLC, where he developed and implemented an Integrated Risk Management Framework with the core objectives of minimising financial loss and supporting the revenue-generating arms of the bank to create opportunities and sustainable value.
Samuel began his banking career in 2003 with Barclays PLC, London as a Senior Manager in Risk Management. In 2006, he worked with Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) Singapore, as a Team Leader in Risk Management where he was instrumental in securing Advanced Internal Risk-Based (AIRB) status for the bank in April 2007. He was later appointed Director for Risk Modelling in SCB, Dubai, responsible for overseeing the implementation of Basel II across Africa. At the end of 2009, he was appointed Group Head, Risk Modelling at Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI), with the responsibility of strengthening the risk management function.
Samuel holds a BSc. in Geology from the University of Ghana and MSc. in Geoscience Data from Kingston University, London. Outside of work, Samuel enjoys travelling, swimming, football and spending time with his family.
