Planting Trees to Protect Lives: StarLife supports Green Ghana Project Green Ghana Day: Staff of StarLife Plant Trees to Protect Lives

As part of activities to mark this year’s Green Ghana Day, staff of StarLife Assurance across the country joined several Ghanaians to plant trees. This is part of the company’s commitment to contribute to the government’s drive in restoring the country’s depleted forest cover and sustaining the environment.

Executive management and staff of StarLife joined the Forestry Commission, Assemblies, traditional authorities and educational institutions across the country to plant trees at strategic locations like schools, forest reserves, public places, etc.

StarLife also purchased and presented seedlings to the Forestry Commission to support the wider objectives of the afforestation and reforestation program under the Green Ghana Project.

Speaking after planting trees with students of the Gbawe Methodist Cluster of Schools, Chief Executive Officer of StarLife Assurance, Kakra Duffuor Nyarko, emphasised the company’s commitment to the Green Ghana Project and the sustainability of the environment.

She said, “The safety of our clients is always a top priority for us at StarLife. We believe that greening our environment is a great way to reaffirm our commitment to protecting lives. A core part of our ESG strategy as a company is protecting the environment through activities like tree planting and other sustainable activities that positively protect our climate.”

She encouraged the students to be committed to preserving the environment as they grow up to ensure a sustainable future for themselves and future generations.
